SEL I YI (LE PANIER DE LA SAGESSE) OU LA FABLE DE LA TORTUE QUI CROYAIT DÉTENIR LA SAGESE

("kul" la tortue)

VOICI DONC CE QUI ARRIVA:

Un jour, « kul », la tortue  se rendit  auprès de ses grands-parents maternels pour acquérir de l’intelligence. Ses grands-parents, lui confièrent un panier bourré de l’intelligence. Sur son chemin de retour, « kul » trouva sur son chemin, un vieux baobab tombé et qui lui empêchait de passer. Dépassée, elle se décida de rester auprès de cet arbre jusqu’à son pourrissement total, alors seulement elle pourra traverser.
Voilà que l’écureuil venant à passer par là, trouva la tortue tapie derrière le tronc de l’arbre un panier sur la tête. Bonjour sœurette, mais que fais-tu donc là ? Et que portes-tu sur ta tête ? Je rentre de chez mes grands-parents j’y suis allée pour acquérir de l’intelligence. Ils m’en ont donné un panier plein. Cet arbre m’empêche de passer voilà pourquoi j’attends qu’il pourrisse afin je rentre chez moi ». L’écureuil ricana, et dit « ma bonne amie, certainement que tes grands parents ne t’ont refilé qu’un panier rempli de bêtise ! Pourquoi n’essaies-tu pas monter jusqu’à l’extrémité de l’arbre afin de la contourner, au lieu d’attendre qu’il veuille pourrir un jour ? »  

QUAND ON CROIT DETENIR L’INTELLIGENCE ET LA SAGESSE, ON EST PEUT-ETRE PLUS BETE DES COMMUNS DES MORTELS.
